Hey guys just a quick question I know it's probably been asked but I couldn't find it , I e got a muffed on my te 96 magna at the moment - 4 cylinder. But it's not a cannon and it's a dump pipe without a tip. I was wondering is it possible to get a muffler (cannon) that comes out from the tail bar ? Do I need to make a cut out in the tailbar? Thank you

If you get a canon welded onto the end of the previous muffler its going to stick out way to far. If you want a canon the best way is to replace the rear muffler with a canon.
Edit: On a side note canon's are poo, just replace the rear muffler with a Lukey Straight Through Muffler with a nice $30 tip on the end.

Sweet ill look into the Lukeys muffler. Will I need a cutout though in my tailbar? My magna doesn't have an exhaust cutout or will it go under

just get a muffler of your choice welded cut and welded on, then they can position it wherever you want
Like peaandham said, stick with a Lukey straight through or magna VRX (also straight through design) these are same size as stock muffler and locates the same way as stock.
If you want something a little more flash, then a magnaflow model 14586 could be the ticket: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=11115
I have one of these fitted to my verada - same straight through design as the Lukey or VRX muffler, same size but looks nicer and puts out a nice beefy note (not too loud though). You just use the hangers & flange pipe off your old system & fit a downward sloping polished stainless or chrome tip.
Probably better to get the magnaflow online like ebay motors, amazon etc... for best deals should be able to get one of these delivered to you door for around $200 AUD.

I had Carline Mufflers do mine, and they shaved a little bit of my rear bar to get the tip to sit where I wanted it. It can go under it, but you dont want it to low. I personally if I had to do it again I would probably get a dump pipe tip, I like the look of them.
