I have a 1996 Magna TE Executive V6 sedan. Recently my trunk light and passenger compartment courtesy lights stopped working.

Checked globes (OK)
Fuse 11 (15A) in the engine compartment fusebox (OK)
Voltage at both lamps (12V missing).

Referred to Haynes Magna & Verada Repair Manual 68757. The electrical chapter in this manual contains "typical" wiring diagrams and is short on detail when compared to mechanical component chapters. One of the wiring diagrams indicates that both lamps are feed from same fuse (listed as F13) and that the power wire from the fuse splits inside a junction box to provide a separate feed to each lamp referred to above (the repair manual does not give any detail on the location of this junctionbox). I suspect a wiring problem at the junction box. Has anyone had this failure before? Any tips?

Where is the junction box referred to in the repair manual?

Hi,

i had a similar issue, except it was my fuse that had blown(was in the middle of wiring a power antenna to feed of the boot light)

anyways the junction box they are talking about is located under the driver side dash. Remove the lower dash cover( 3 screws), and you will see it on the right near the door. Its white/yellowish and has a black cover with diagrams showing which fuses are for what(similar to the one in the engine bay).

Fusebox under your drivers side footwell. Check all fuses in there.

You say you have no Voltage at the Globe holders, how about at the fuse itself?? Number 13?
