OK this is driving me nuts... for almost a week now I've been trying with no luck to pull out the old fuel filter on my TR (4cyl efi)

Been spraying it with wd40, tried different wrenches, had a mate take a shot.. no luck.

Anyone got any tips for this? there's almost no room, can't extend a wrench or even really get a hammer in there to give it a good bashing..

I see where the 'out' line connects to the rail, so could potentially pull that off - but the 'in' line seems to dissappear behind the firewall somewhere - how hard would it be to disconnect the lines and pull the whole lot out to work on?

Two wrenches for the "in" one, just undo it off the rail and take it right out off the car. If the "in" one is stuck, hold the larger nut on the filter with a spanner and use a small monkey wrench on the line nut, if it won't shift, or looks like it might round off using a spanner. The "in" one goes under the car and probably extends right back to the fuel pump.
