This came with a car I bought, is it repairable or worth anything? It has a new lower splitter so that's all good. http://i424.photobucket.com/albums/pp326/Andrewe123456789/a11c3f890aec65af31249311bad09ed2.jpg
I thought the factory bars were plastic? This is fibreglass???

If it is fibreglass you can patch it and reinforce it from the back with fibreglass matting and resin, then use appropriate filler to smoothen out the front.
Lots of time and effort required though, mounting points may be a problem if it is too distorted.
Doesn't look like fibreglass, actually.
Fibreglass looks more like this when damaged:

Frayed edges showing the reinforcing fibres in the glass are a dead giveaway.
Plenty of info on the internet on how to repair plastic bumpers.

Hmm mabe it's not fibreglass, I only assumed it was because of the way it cracked...

Clean edges on the cracks says it is plastic. I've repaired smaller cracks in plastic bumpers with pieces of shaped tinplate on the back for reinforcement using liquid nails adhesive, and filling in the surface cracks with ordinary body bog before smoothing and painting. Stood up well, but probably not doable on a bigger job like this.
I suggest you do some in depth research before you tackle this job.
I'd repair it. Probably only take me a week. lol

I might take it to one of those bumper repair/plastic welding places to see what they think. What's a good one worth?

The Ralliart body kit parts are all plastic. It is a yellow plastic unpainted and understand is not polyethylene, unlike the majority of car bumpers. Supposed to be harder to fix then polyethylene.
I know from personal experience after my front bumper was replaced after I was backed in to.

I got a single crack repaired on my old one for around 80. Yours has extensive damage by the looks of it around the wheel arch? If so you would be looking at a lot more. If it's just the one down the front, I wouldn't expect more then $150 from the guy I saw

lol $150 wouldn't even cover the cost of having it repainted, let alone fixed up.
I think the cost of repair by someone else would far exceed the value of the bar. Repairers usually junk them with far less damage than that.

Redliners thread will be useless as that is based on fibreglass, you can not glass these bars. They are not rubber either, they are plastic and can be repaired
Max, Wiggles was not talking about repairing and painting, just repair of the damage ready for paint. I had a bar done for my Galant which was in similar shape to that one cost me $450 to get it completely stripped of all paint, proper repairs done and back to primer. Bar looks like new

Ralliart bar is worth triple the cost of repairs. If youre going to bin it, you can give it to me :D.
I Know of the place in ingleburn. They do good work. I will look them up for you.

If the repair brings the bar into like- new condition the bar is worth around $500, possibly a little more. I just sold a brand new one never used for 650

I didn't know there are people out there who will pay big money for one of these bars, not much change from $1K after repair and paint.
Combine one of these with low profile tyres and lowered suspension and you have a recipe for some major recurring costs.

I have a slightly damaged one hanging in my garage after the insurance job. The new one on mine was the third last left at spare parts and that was nearly 2 years back. I think MMAL spare parts charged the repairer about $1800 for it! They are going to become rare over the next few years. I'm keeping mine in case I need it one day. Needs a couple of cracks repaired.
The plastic in the Ralliart tends to crack rather then deform (unlike modern polyethylene which is much better). My new one suffered a small bump in a car park and the plastic cracked. Can hardly see it though. It also tends to have more memory so doesn't reform back to the original shape as well.
