just wandering where the flasher unit is located on the magna? (3rd gen)

im trying to fix my sisters pajero as the indicators arent working and the fuses are all fine. she plugged a trailer in yestarday and they havent been working since. the hazards have blown but at least i can see the fuse on it is gone.

i rang a good mechanic and he said to check the flasher unit by plugging in another one from another car. problem is i dont know what they look like, if im pulling out the right one or where its supose to be located, on either car, also how many flasher units does a car need as the hazards work when i put another fuse in its place? could it be possible that hazards and indicators use the same flasher unit?

Turn the hazard lights on and listen for a clicking sound coming from under the dash. Should look like a metal can. If you touch it, it should feel like it's vibrating. The separate indicator flasher unit should be close by and look the same, just pull it out and replace it with the same from a wrecker or Mitsu dealer.

If the hazzards have blown the indicators will not work either, replace that fuse and you may find the indicators work again
