I replaced the blades about 6 weeks ago with some cheap inserts from the local auto spares place. Obviously you get what you pay for because already they're not scraping the water off cleanly.
What blades do people recommend for working well and long life?

Do these fit a TH? Their website doesn't seem to show that they do. I need to get rid of the silicon crap that my brother in-law fitted. Hey swears by them, but they are so noisy in light rain.

Or a set of TRIDON TNB24-2 for $13 from your local auto store. Work wonders.

I run the aerotwins. Very good
I wont get them again, too expensive.
Bosch genuine replacements. 90% as good, 25-40% of the price.
I had the aerotwin sitting around for ages to the Bosch Genuines wore out, took forever, I think like 3-4 years total.

Windscreen wipers didn't change between the 3rd gens so they'll definitely fit.

Wax your windscreen for additional improvements too.

Good to know mate. I might look at them after I sort my engine out.

Used to use Bosch Aerotwins but am using the Goodyear Assurance - not quite as good but when you can get them for the price I can, its a non issue.

Repco sell a similar thing to the Aerotwins, it's their own brand but they are excellent, I have used them for about 6 months and they are still fantastic. Half the price of Aerotwins too.

Bosch ones are $30 a blade so $60 a pair. Im using the the Goodyear ones and think that are just as good and they are half the price. I can get you a set delivered for $30. Go see in the FS Section.

I havent tried Bosch, but in my experience Goodyear did not deliver. I had on all 3of my cars. Few weeks after shudder developed on all, squeaking sounds... I went back to using normal refills...

I found that Costco are selling Goodyear wipers for $10 a pop. They are the 'floppy' ones that stick to your window. They seem to work fantastically on my TJ, my partners KE and my housemates TH as well as my other housemates Ford.

I found another thread in which these wipers were featured.

I was in Costco in Canberra last week and had a look at their wiper replacement offerings and they were Bosch, I thought and they looked like the aerotwins (but can't recall that name on the packet) - they were only $12-$14 each. So I bought 3 (I have a wagon) and fitted them on the weekend. (I will check packet in the bin at home tonight). :D

I'm going to buy a large amount of blades and keep them as spares.

Whatever type/brand you use make sure it has the metal splines. The plastic ones will eventually crack apart and your wiping the windscreen with one of the metal claws leaving a dirty big scratch right across the screen.

I ordered a set of Goodyear Assurance from a guy on ebay for $30 delivered. Just waiting for them to arrive.

I also had a look at my wifes VE Series II wagon today and noticed that it has these sorta blades already. :D Does anyone happen to know what brand they are?
