Hi 380 owners I'm hoping you can help me.
So Saturday night at 7:50pm some "bleep bleep bleep..." crashed into my parked car in the street. They did not stop, or return to leave a note.
Just left me this

Decent bit of panel damage, suspension damage and bent the mag wheel. I've only got 3rd parts insurance so I'm up shit creak.
If i can find the make and model of the vehicle I'm hoping to find the culprit. (yes needle in a hay stack etc)
The only piece that fell from their car was the guts out of their wing mirror.
Namely the glass mirror which shattered, the mirror motor and the bit that holds the mirror.
Going by my research so far it looks to be quite a unique shape.
It had the warning "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"
It was electronically adjustable
The motor in is was make in Australia by "Schefenacker" and has the code 22D5D on it.
The trim that the glass was in, has the logo below on it. And the codes L R1400 1468071
"R1400" appears to relate to the mirror being convex.

Out of good fortune I came across this mirror at the local shops and it looks like a match.
Can someone confirm?
Are there any other Mitsubishi that share the same mirror?
Do the australian models have the warning message on them?
so out and about today I came across this!!! Mitsubishi 380GT
shape matches perfectly and the logo on the mirror plastic i have is the same on the mirror internals.
Can somebody here cross reference the part number for me to see if the 380 gt is the only car with the same mirror. The only thing missing is the warning message on the mirror, but this could be the difference between nz new and an Australian import.
photo from these forums (same logo as the part I have)
