Hey all. I'm planning to lower my tw vr wagon. Few questions
1. Do you need different rear springs from the sedan to the wagon. Or are they the same?
2. I know the vr wagon has sports suspension from factory, is there a difference in ride height between the vr and the es or ls ? If so how much

Also is there anything else I should know before I start looking to lower the wagon?

Cheers

Wagon rear is different to sedan.

Factory sports suspension I would guess not much lower than standard, but not positive on that.

(Feedback on my wagon, it is king lows all round with boge struts/shocks. The front will scrape on an angled driveway if not careful, and I have had my rear exhaust scrape too but not to the same extent. Handles pretty well but I think any lower gets a bit impractical if it is an everyday car.)

In my wagon had the Dobinsons and Boge.

Initially I had the Kings but found they were more prone to bottom out when hitting bumps in the back end

Also make damn sure when fitted that the rear arm bushes are reset, if not the bushes will be torn to bits in a very short time

Definitely make sure you change the shocks as you don't want your springs falling out

is it bad or not recommended to run Dobinsons at the back and kings at the front? Or should you ideally match them up? already have kings at the front, but if Dobinsons seem to be less prone to bottoming out, it would be worth investigating.

There is no reason you can not run Kings in the front and Dobinsons on the rear. The dampers I used in my wagon were the Boge and then the Koni. While the Koni by far made the car handle at its best the best ride up back was when I had the Boge in the car. When the car was at its worst it had the KYB in the rear and the back end spent more time on the bump stops than it did anything else, it was terrible to say the least.

I also have a question similar to this, I have a KE Wagon, the back springs are different between a sedan and wagon but how about the front springs? Are they the same on a wagon as well as a sedan?
