Hey everyone,

Just wondering if this model has front and rear brakes or just front?
As I had the front replaced as they started squeaking , but after about 1 month on they are still squeaking. I read that they might need to be wore jn, but surely they wouldn't take this long?

Also when ever I turn my air conditioner on after being off for a few days there will be a large knocking sound any idea what this could be?

Other than that my magna is going fine, besides other people keep opening and scraping my car at the supermarket.

Thanks

it will have front and rear disc brakes, the brake squeal could be down to extremely cheap shoes, or a warped rotor, with the aircon I know the bearing packs in the clutch plate tends to go, it could be that

There could be many reasons for your brake issue but yes all cars have both front and rear brakes.....

Could be the fitter did not machine the rotors, used cheap pads or they were not correctly bed in when fitted.

Aircon, dont worry about this too much, many of these cars do exactly that, is nothing to do with the clutch is an internal issue, it will eventually stop working but I have seen these do the same thing for years with no issues.

Hey everyone,

people keep opening and scraping my car at the supermarket.

Thanks
that's the great thing about a magna, as opposed to say a maserati, you don't get too upset if it gets scraped....

Hose the front brakes with a garden hose. It will clean out the dust and help more than you think. Oddly enough it you hose them out one night and leave it, the rust seems to quiet things if the simple hosing doesn't work.

Cheers guys for all your help.

Good to know that the aircon knock isn't a major engine problem :-)

I'll try the water trick, if not. I'll remove the rear wheels and see how much the brake pads have left.

Thanks

Brake cleaner works wonders.
