Howdy guys,

I have retro fitted a trip computer to my TF magna. It works great on Petrol and is really accurate. All the functions work besides Distance to Empty (I dont think I spliced into the correct wire for that).

I also have an LPG mixer system that runs an emulator. This emulator tells the cars ECU when the car is on LPG and it simulates the injector pulse. That all works fine, but it gives me a AVG fuel usage of not even remotely close to what it is using. Currently reads 54L/100km when its really using about 14L/100km

Is there a way I can get this more accurate and get the DTE to work for both?

Thanks

My Altera's Trip Computer has never given me a correct reading on LPG.

I had the same thing with my mixer setup, average consumption would give ridiculous reading. Its just the way injector simulator operates, for some reason trip computer goes crazy trying to read it.

I upgraded to vapor injection that actually got pretty accurate reading if you add 20%, because ecu still fires injector pulses lpg ecu intercept them and adds about 20% more duration(since you need to inject more lpg than petrol)

Something like the Digital Pulse Adjuster (Silicon Chip mag, available from Jaycar) might allow you to make the necessary adjustments to the pulse width.
