Hi,
I have a weird issue in my 96 TE, just recently my central locking half stopped working. by half i mean all the doors can be locked via the remote or driver side switch but they cannot be unlocked(they all stopped working at once)
I suspected the actuators died, but i find it odd that it occurs on all 4 doors and even more odd that the doors can be locked but not unlocked.

Not strange at all. The driver's door actuator also controls the others.
Does the key unlock the doors? If so, it may be the remote.

Key does not unlock the doors(only unlocks the driver or passenger side when inserted into the respective cylinder)
Will open the driver door and check the actuator, before this issue all doors would lock/unlock except the driver side door. I ignored it as I always unlock the driver side with the key. Just annoys me that I have to manually unlock the other doors from the inside now.

The driver's door actuator can be stripped down and fixed. Did this on my TL when it was randomly locking and unlocking all doors. lol
The switches are simple sliding contacts that need cleaning and given a bit of a bend to improve contact.

just playing around by locking/unlocking the car from the inside driver side lock, I think the signals for lock unlock are being sent as I can hear a small tick coming from the central locking unit(bem) under the steering wheel.
Could all 4 locks have somehow becomes misaligned and this is why they don't unlock the doors?
