I've been trying to track down a replacement TCU for an '81 2.6 auto transmission without any luck.
It has one of the 3 plug modules in it (part number MD750103). I've heard that 3 plug MD756300 can be used to replace it but haven't been able to find one of those either.

I was wondering if I could also use a 3 plug module from a 3.0 litre instead?

If not, is it feasible to use one of the more common 2 plug units after changing over the plugs in the loom to suit. Has anyone tried this already or know if it is a viable option?

Can use either or, just slightly different shift points

All good now. New TCU arrived on Monday. Dead original MD750103 replaced with MD751231 and working perfectly. Thanks heaps guys.
