Yes I have searched and can't find what I'm looking for.

So I have changed every light from the drab pale green to red with good results to match the red in the VRX cluster. The last thing I'm doing is the tiptronic shifter surround lights, changing them to red and brighter as factory there dull.

I expected that there would be some T5 globes lighting up the shifter but it uses 2x electroluminescent panels.

I want to know what others have done to change the colour/brightness on the shifter surround lights. Im thinking ill discard the electroluminescent panels and replace with a custom panel to house mulitiable SMD'd with a light diffuser for even light. But is there a easer way? Do other models use globes on the tiptronic shifter rather then electroluminescent panels that I could use and fit globes of my choice?

If it is the actual surround you are talking about, easiest thing to do is loose the green strip thingy altogether and replace it with two short red led strips, it's somewhere in my ride thread.

I just used 2 small blue LED light pods pointed at the shifter panel to wash over the original colour. I'm sure you could find these in red easy enough, they worked remarkably well and lit up the chrome piece in blue beautifully at night. There is a multipin connector under the centre console, I just used the active 12v pin and grounded the negative wires, which had them running whenever the ignition was on (not connected to headlight wiring/relay).

**EDIT** Did have a photo but the link was broken.
