Hey i have just received a set of king lows and want to install them myself. Apart from a quick youtube search i.e mighty car mods, and a little read through the forum, i dont know that much about installing them. i have a spring compressor and all the other tools needed. Can someone please go through a quick step by step as a guideline for me! it would be greatly appreciated!

1. Jack vehicle up and place jack stands under vehicle.
2. Remove wheels.
3. Pop bonnet and mark 1 of the 3 strut top studs and tower
so the sturt top is in the original place.
4. Remove the brake line and abs sensor cable from the strut.
5. Unbolt the strut from the knuckle 17mm bolt and nut by memory
6. Unbolt the 3 strut top nuts 14mm
7. Once removed for the vehicle place the spring compressors on the
spring 1 on either side and do them up CAREFULLY this is the dangerous
part as they can slip off and could be fatal. Once spring is compressed
undo the centre nut of the strut top 17mm I think

not bad,but there are a couple of points missed
#open bonnet and loosen the 17mm nut that holds the shock absorber until there is about 3-4 mm of thread left showing

# before installing spring compresses ,make note of where the hole is in the strut top and the lower spring seat ,these holes MUST line up when looking at them

Thanks man, but you don't need to loosen the centre nut if using a rattle gun.

True ,but ,we dont all have rattle guns do we....and there is nothing to say that the shocker shaft wont turn when you use a rattle gun either.
