just a random question. i noticed the other day that the boot on those curves up at the end, so im just curious if anyone knows if it would bolt on without taillight worries. cheers.

Tail lights are fine. I think you need to match up the rear bar though.

Yeah there are no worries there is just an odd looking gap. A lot of members don't mind it. I wouldn't do it personally but some very nice cars on here have and they still look fine.

J and L Tail lights follow the same line, is just the boot gap around the bar you need to worry about, looks ok but is not right if that makes sense

I know of a couple of J series with L series boot lids, one has a KL Verada lid and looks very nice

Anyone got a photo of this swap but with TL tail lights?

What people forget is that the TL bootlid has a bigger round then the TJ (just about the Mitsubishi logo)
So the top of the tail lights will not flow with the bootlid curve
