Folks im having some serious dilemas:
For Starters. I dont get off my 'P's untill im 24 due to a 12 month suspended licnece etc so actually driving a forced induction car is illegal for me.
Secondly. i dont earn all that much once you take out loan repayments, car insurance etc as well as rent and bills.
One Upside. I'm now working at autobarn, so which ever way i go, i get all the parts at cost plus 10%
so here is the 2 options i have come up with:
Option One: Supercharge my 2nd gen 2.6lt 5-Speed and add 1x set of new 17" rims.
Option Two: 18" rims, airbag suspension and vast amounts of wickid audio visual gear.
these are my options and i want your opinions. so vote now or forever hold you peace.

i've heard that the 2.6L astrons dont hold up too well to the supercharging. those 2nd gens look VERY nice with a set of 18's on them. add some major audio gear and that will be one sweet magna. upside to this is u can take most of the stuff back out again and use it in another car or sell it separetly. supercharging ur TS will mean modifying components that will b hard to change back to stock easily. so if i was u i would get the 18's and the audio stuff :D

trouble i dont need, which is why i was thinking audio visual, easier to kee it within legal confines in that realm than it is driving a force induced car on myt vic p's
more voting would be nice... and what do you think of these rims (18's of course)

i am a fan of anything that ISNT chrome. so yes, they look alright. i also like 5/6 spoke mags, some may think it dosent look aggressive enough but i reckon they do

Same rims as mine, But I have Shadow Chrome :)
i've heard that the 2.6L astrons dont hold up too well to the supercharging.
Clarify that, please? I've heard that they didn't mind a bit of a blowjob.
PS. Nice avatar, Zach

although there seems to be an overwhelming urge from am to go the supercharger route, i think my common sense has prevailed, and although i would LOVE a supercharged magna, i am going to go down the route of the 18's and aurbags, simply because i dont need the cops pulling me over and telling me i need to get rid of the supercharger.
maybe i will do that in another few months... we'll see how i go getting the airbags and 18's together.

they respond very well to turbocharging. i read bout this fella wanting to supercharge his astron and the belts kept flicking off, they had too much trouble with it. i think superchargers should b left with the 6's anyway.

although that is very true, rice stickers or a "shopping list" as i like to call them will never feature on my car. in fact i was looking into some nice suede leather retrim material today... isotta have some nice new wheels in their Summer 2004 catalogue! black and red suede leather dash and door trims and pretty black sheepskin seat covers (custom mades for the rear of course!) either that or i just get the seats re-trimmed in black and read suede leather... that might be too posh for me tho =P
had the ***** back on the road tonight, think i might have a problem with my pwer steering pump.. anyone got any ideas on how much they are to replace? or are you gunna make me walk all the way to the spare parts desk at work and find out for myself?
well.. will cyas later. death in my managers family means i'll prolly be working right through this weekend so i dunno when i'll be back here.
cheers.

great avatar! as u said it is illegal for u to have a supercharged car, so dont do that. for me option 1 is the only one, i dont care about ICE except a half decent stereo and power matters most.
but for you, dont go losing even your p's til u r 24... no matter how cool the car, gettin your Ps back when u r 25 will not be cool. how about full house NA mods, including cam, chip, headwork, zorst and a 50hp shot of nitro for drags. I love the 2.6 efi astron. you have the manual so u should have no problem dealing with bottom end loss or trans not handling power.

i am very much considering some full out n/a mods and as such have priced a few items such as cam, microtec, full suspension upgrade (to go along with the existing king springs), brakes (set of VY R8 Maloo brakes be good enuf yas reakon?) and the nos... the guy at zex is getting back to me with my trade price! (all i do is fit stereo's and i get trade prices.. life is good)
as for the asthetics... ive decided to go for a full black and red 'suede LOOK' (its made from microfiber and doesnt stain) retrim.. which i'm going to attempt myself =P
im looking at some nice isotta accessories for my car... they do a nice set of suede leather (genuine) wheel, shifter and handbrake lever.. so im gunna look into that =P
regards folks
