Don't know if this is a technical enough question so feel free to move it.

Anyhow, those with KJ and onwards with reversing cameras, do you notice the reverse lights wash out the left and right edges of the image at night? The number plate lights don't affect the camera as much as the reverse lights. I have temporarily stuck some blue (to match the colour of my car) electrical tape on the inner edge of the lights (which has reduced it) but not enough. Seriously considering buying a second hand set of reverse lights, disassemble it and them coat the inside of it with some nightshade (around the sides etc).

good luck with trying to take apart the reverse lights though ,i had a spare set here and tried to take them apart with a heat gun....no go

You could try sticking an O ring or a grommet over the top of the camera lens. See if that stops the light hitting it.
