Whats a good exuast system i can put on it thats silent ?

I would like to get some more power from it but want to keep the car as quite as possible.

Also, anyone know how to fix the material on the roof ? its starting to fall off :( and it looks like a tent in my car lol

Hey

My roof was sagging down... I fixed it by removing the roof from the car (its just a big moulded bit of cardboard) and ripping off the lining, then reglueing it on with adhesive in a can. Just spray it evenly and slowly + carefully reattach the lining. I spent a bit of time removing the spongy stuff they put, cos i gathered that it would make my job look bad cos it would be uneven... It looks alright now, execpt my lining is dirty - should've washed it while it wasn't attached to the roof.

Cheers,
Bill

yeah they're quiet on the v6's cause v6's arn't exactly a very loud engine until they pick up in the rev's, 4's are always gonna have that doughy sound when you put on an aftermarket exhaust. the problem is you wanna eat your cake and have it too, the idea is to get a free flowing exhaust and that makes the car louder, removing the old exhausts which restrict airflow by the piping having S bends in the muffler and a not exactly large diameter tail pipe etc... i was following macbdog one a cruise once and he just had the rear rear muffler replaced with a lukey (i think it was just the rear) and it was quiet.. well alot quieter than what mine is.

ive got 2.25 catback with a lukey ultraflow, dunno the model number all i know is the mufflers about the size of my wallet and its not exactly a tame sound. i got a lukey hotdog resonator thrown in for free and a resonator definantly gives it a better, less droney sound but yes ultimately its like this.

performace comes with noise, restrictions keep the car quiet (look up how a muffler works and you'll get it) so your just gonna have to get a compromise but then it really wont be worth the money because with a highflow system ala mine, the performace really isnt like getting a 50hp hit, it just gives the car a little more perk and a bit more presence.
