Does any one know if it is possible to disconnect the tail shaft or the front pot joints to put an AWD on a 2WD Dyno? Disconnecting the front works fine on a WRX but obviously the Magna is a different beast.

Kinda defeats the purpose as your drivetrain loss will be different to how it is on the road so the power figure will read higher then it really is at all 4. And no I dont think its possible
I don't know if it's possible, or a good idea, but if you do actually do this please let us all know how it goes. Just out of curiosity ;)
I would assume that removing drive to the front wheels would let it send most power to the rear - the centre LSD will stop it from dumping all power to the non-existent front.
But this is where I have no idea if that's a bad thing, or how much effort it will waste spinning what's left of the front drive section.
Could this be tested somewhat by jacking the car off the ground, applying the handbrake and then putting the car into drive and see what happens?
If the front wheels start spinning and spin more with added throttle, then it will dump power to a disconnected front end.
If the fronts don't turn too much and it starts to over power the handbrake at the back, then the LSD is forcing most of the power to the back which means you can disconnect front drive to get a RWD. It would be interesting to drive a Magna like that.
Ciao!
You might find it wont run at all
