hey, i don't know too much about the magnas - like if they have mas air sensors or not.

i assume they do from the sounds of things, and just the fact that it's a mitsubishi!

anyway, has anyone here done the MAF translator mod with the GM sensor?

i am buying the parts to put on my US 2.6 conquest. i bet the connectors are the same, at least for the 2.6 magnas. it would be interesting to see someone do that.

www.ramchargers.com for the translator unit and
www.gmpartsdirect.com for the mas

just for comparison, the stock unit flows something around 450-500cfm (and i think that's on the 1g DSM's because my turbo flows 320 cfm max and has over-run the stock mas under full boost.

Is the GM sensor something like off a camira motor???
I read in a review in hot 4s that they are a very programable unit, is that your idea too???

GM as in General Motors

it's a mass air sensor off of like a corvette or a big chevy truck. the 3 inch flows something like 1000 cfm and i got the 3.5 inch.

Yes general motors, but the unit I speak of is off a small engined car called "Camira", but according to the article it could be programmed for just about anything, they had it running on a subaru, and it is very easy to program.

They said it was the only decent thing on the car, to be honest that's not a fair statement, as my 2.0l camira went pretty hard.

Wonder if that's of benefit then? In a small way, naturally. While it's not that small, it's smaller than the typical piping that's used in undiction applications. Wonder if the sensors give the same readings / voltages?
