Hey guys long story short i have just picked up a donor car to tidy mine up a bit from what i can tell i can use most of the interior parts (seats, door skins windows/motors as well as a lot of exterior panels.

I am wondering if the gearbox is the same and if there is anything else mechanical that would be the same and worth me holding on to.

I got the car cheap to fix up a few bits and pieces on our current TH as i have just decided to keep our old family wagon as she has always been good to us even at 265000 and figured any money saved on parts in the long run will be a bonus

What would the Gurus keep.

Every panel can be swapped. Everything in the interior can be swapped. All engine parts are the same. Gearbox is the same.

If it were me:

I would pull out the engine and strip it down to heads and block. Take the alternator, power steering pump, starter motor, upper and lower intake manifolds, throttle body, rocker covers, timing belt covers, radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, both radiator hoses.

Headlights, indicators front and side, tail lights ( although they are slightly different style, same shape), window winders, steering wheel, wheels and tyres. Front struts, rear shocks, both with springs. Centre console.

And of course, anything aftermarket.

99% of parts TE-TH are conpatible

if your th has a 3.5 engine parts may be different, but if its a 3 litre is all interchangeable

mine is the 3.5 is there any engine parts that will be interchangable?
