Hi

I've got an annoying rattle/squeak coming from the vicinity of the tailgate that I cant find. I've removed the tailgate liner and everything from the spare wheel compartment. I've checked around the back seat. I've crawled around under the car and oiled and tightened everything. I've sprayed RP7 on any rubber. All with no luck. Next step I guess is to remove both interior wheel arch liners. But before I do that, has anyone got any experience with what it might be? Is it possible its squeaky surrounds around the glass windows?

Do you have a tow bar?
Is your rear wiper motor tight?
Are the rear speakers original? Non-gen speakers may be too deep. Genuione ones have black foam.
I prefer silicon lube on the rubbers, but RP7 is probably fine.
If you have a night of sleep and look at again it might help too.
I'd be surprised if any of that helps but good luck.

Finally got 'em.

First up, was an electrical thingy rattling inside the rear drivers side wheel arch cover. I dont know what it does. It looks like a large relay, about 4 x 3 x 2 cm. Anyway it had come away from its mount and was just resting against the inside of the rear mudguard body panel. After that was fixed it was easier to hear that the other squeak was 'rubbery'. Turned out to be the seal around the tailgate. (Something I had forgotten to 'lube'). Some Armourgard on the rubbers, and tightening the door latch got rid of that. Pretty simple in the end but bloody hard to track down!
