I'd get onto someone like Mal and see how much a 2nd hand one would cost to get up to you!

if the sumps are the same between the 74 and 75 i have the part number.genuine would be around 50-100 for the lower section
you will also need sealant

Best to stick with 74 sump as exhaust will fit better

75 sump is different, hangs too low so if you have hit the std one you don't want the 75 one
Lower pan may be around 100 mark new but have you damaged the alloy upper section

Thanks Mal - I was worried about that (damn) - not sure what I should do now - if I take off the old one and its bent the upper one then a new (undamaged) one won't fit - I think that's correct? May have to put it on a trailer and take it to someone here in Canberra.

Bottom one is steel, which will bend if bashed by a rock or stump. Top part of the sump is aluminium alloy, which is going to crack or shatter rather than bend if subjected to excessive force.
Best remove the lower steel section and look at the upper alloy sump for cracks, or remove both to examine them closely.

Ok will pull off lower sump tomorrow and check the upper one once that's off. It doesn't looked cracked or damaged
(x-ing fingers)
(Will try to post image once I work out how to do that here)

Must have been quite a thump!
Hopefully the alloy upper part is still intact. Looks ok from the photo.

Ok got a new bottom sump cover from Commonwealth Motors here in Canberra (in stock!) for $22.50 - Mitsu gasket goo was priced at $108.00 (the parts guy laughed and said that Auto pro round the corner might be better - it was at $26.00).

The best sealant to buy is threebond from supercheap(subaru use this except its 300 retail).
