Whilst replacing the oxygen sensor, I noticed a shiny metal object about 4mm by 4mm and about 25mm long hanging from a wire close to where the oxygen sensor plug is on the front passenger side. It probably should be clipped in/attached somewhere. Can it be a temperature sensor for the aircon?? Anyone know where it attaches. Cheers

Not an air con temp sensor as it is sitting next to a hot exhaust.

I think he means the potted sensor connected to a wire that is supposed to be seated either inside the fan box or next to it. I have the same problem. I'll see if I can get away and post a pic later.
