anyone know if there is a fuse I can tap into that only gets power when the doors unlock? I tried tapping into the dome light fuse but no go, gets power all the time.

Are you talking about a fuse that powers when the locking actuators move from locked to unlocked, or one that's active when unlocked and inactive when locked? If you mean the second one, I'm pretty sure no such fuse exists. Even the first one probably doesn't, at least not in one direction.

Yeah it was the first one you described I was looking for but it doesn't exist :( wanted an easy way to get angel eyes to turn on when I unlock the doors.. but yeah not possible without a relay

Using the NC contact on a relay connected to the engine immobilizer system somehow might work - the immobilizer is only on when the doors are locked (afaik) so inverting this signal with a relay might be the answer.
