Hi all,
I'm considering picking up a TF Sports dash, and I have a couple questions regarding its compatibility with my TJ..
1. The TF Sports has a 4-sp tiptronic setup, and being such has a PRND4321 panel (where mine will be retaining the straight shift and has just the PRND321), will the gearshift indicators still illuminate 1,2,3 if I upshift/downshift manually?
2. The TF has a different cruise setup (button on instrument cluster binnacle, as opposed to the stalk setup on my TJ), will the cruise light still illuminate as per before? I understand the older cruise setup operates the cruise light differently to that of the newer type.
My understanding is, that while I am changing clusters, the control of the dash illumination still has to go through a control unit (be it BCM, cruise control unit, ECU, etc..) prior to the cluster, and the appropriate control unit sends the signal, the cluster simply illuminates what the control unit signals.
Lastly, and probably most importantly, I imagine the connections in the back are the same, can anyone confirm this?
Cheers!
