Currently looking into options for me TE wagon remote, hate the 1 button approach.

One thought is use a TF receiver, my other thought is an after market kit (minus the central locking triggers).

How hard would it be to wire one in? Is it even possible?
JBHIFI have some cool remotes, just not sure if they'll work with the stock system or do i need to replace all the wiring/mechanisms to work with the new receiver?

You need to tap into the standard wiring I believe with an aftermarket kit.

However I'm unsure if anything will happen with the alarm butI believe it should be fine. I'm sure our local wiring expert will chip in =)

You have to wire it to trick the factory central locking. No you can't simply program it into the factory system.
