Does anyone know if the TL AWD engine loom is interchangeable with a TL FWD 5 speed auto loom? I will leave the TCL hardware in place but disable TCL in the ECU. Any other issues I could encounter?

Basically I need a new engine loom for my TL 5 speed auto and have access to a TL AWD loom. If I can't use the AWD loom, how much will a FWD loom set me back?

If you remove the tcl in the ecu or use the AWD ecu can be done, aside from the tcl ecu and brake modulator unit there are not many differences in the 2 systems. Make sure you install the g sensor on the tunnel just forward of the shifter and change the abs modulator. Or just grab a tl 5sp loom

What's actually wrong with your loom as I have never heard of a loom just failing

Probably should've added some more info, my loom hasn't failed, I've swapped out a failed 4speed auto for a 5 speed auto. I've replaced everything to suit the 5 speed except the engine loom (haven't been able to source one yet).
Looks like I'm better off using a FWD 5 speed loom, fitting a new ABS modulator, g sensor etc. At least I'll be using the correct loom and will have TCL as well.

Madmagna, do you sell the 5 speed FWD engine loom? If so, could you pm me a price please ?
