Hey guys, Haven't posted in awhile but I wanted to ask, what is the code for the boss kit for a 98 Mitsubishi Magna TF 3.0 V6 Executive? Also what is the size pod filter for it and if so, are pod filters illegal, I saw that some people made videos called how to make your pod filter legal?
Thanks in advance :D

Pod filters are illegal if they don't have appropriate shielding from the engine bay (ie. they need to be in a housing). Pod filters do SFA for a Magna's performance anyway, and in most cases are a detriment to it.

Ok cool, so no pod filters, what if I just change to a k&n filter, I think A1359 or something over the generic paper filter? Also do you know anything about the demensions of the boss kit?

Dont bother with changing the filters and plastics etc man. Factory intake cant be improved on for your engine. Not sure about the boss kit sorry

Unless you're planning on substantial investment in power gains and/or re-oiling them often enough to negate the cost of replacing OEM filters, K&N panels filters provide nil performance/financial gain on stock 6Gs. OEM filters are more than sufficient for stock/mild performance applications.
Saas boss kit part number is 13-BK181L, Autotechnica is 951ALU

To further comment on k&n filters, on the dyno we actually gained a couple of kw with the factory paper filter (compared to the k&n). Steve knight said to me the first thing he does on the evo's is get rid of k&n filters and puts either a Ralliart paper filter or the standard one in.

Thanks guys for the good replies, I am not going to change the filter besides normal service and thanks ammerty for the boss kit specifications.
