I am putting a new head unit into my 3rd gen and was considering giving the old unitt to my son and daughter in law for their car (my old magna). Have not replaced mine just yet but was curious as to whether anyone has done similar and could tell me if my old unit would fit in their magna.
My old unit is a sony xplod xav-w1 2 din, usual size 178w x100h x190d.
I am picturing it going into the space where the current radio only unit is with the space below in their 98 TF magna solara.
Anyone know off hand if this area is the same size as a 2din unit.
I know I can simply measure it but only just thought of doing this rather than selling my old sony unit and was wondering if anyone here as fitted one.

From memory, if you pull out the console and remove the plastic pocket, the stereo should fit no problems. My partners KE Verada was the same after I bought a new stereo for my car.
