Hey guys,

I need to know how to undo the bolts on the latch that the door closes onto on a ts, the little metal ring with a bolt at the top and bottom.

I tried with a flathead and philips and no joy, dont want to wreck the bolts by being stupid, but basically im replacing them just because the plastic that is normally over the top of the ring part is snapped off totally and it doesnt look nice nor does the door shut without slamming it.

Any helps appreciated

Of course it wont be able to be undone with a phillips screwdriver.

You need something with significant leverage. These are not designed to ever come off.

Impact driver, philips head bit and a big hammer to whack it. First trace around the outline to get it back in the right position afterwards.

(I never take them off, way too tight. When I paint that section of a Magna, I just mask off.)
