Bought one of these 7"units the other week. All in one unit fits the same as my previous sony xav-w1 in my 2002 verada. Both had motorised front face. Had it installed professionally and very happy with the look of it and how well it works. Nice little upgrade.
Bought it one day and delivered the next.

I'm just throwing this out there.. but I'll never bother with any electronic goods that don't have a brand name on them.

It looks similar to the jbs brand that JB Hi Fi sell but yours has a lot more thing in it http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps-navigation/av-navigation/jbs/7-inch-hd-screen-with-ipod-control-sku-91306/

I had one and basically couldn't pull it out of the car quick enough because it horrified me how bad my speakers sounded. Yes it did work okay and i could watch some TV on it and have the Nav part tell me where to go as well. But the sound quality was awful. Infact the unit in now in our troop carrier as the road noise from the tyres means i just need to here some thing not any thing special

They're decent units, especially considering the price. I was gonna get one for my KH originally, but after having a thread similar to this, I changed my mind.

My main issue with then it's the functionality, or the features. They're both quite good. But the sound quality. These things have built in Amps to power your speakers, half the reason these are cheap is because the sound hardware is cheap. The Amps are of lower power/quality, so to listen to your music the same volume as I would on my Pioneer, you would need to turn yours up more (how much more depends on your specific unit). The higher you have to go, the more distortion you risk.

A counter to this (which I also considered), is to buy an Amplifier for the speakers (in addition to one for a sub, if applicable). This will fix the volume discrepancy. The catch then is that as the units on-board sound controller/card is still inferior, the sound source is of lower quality. Again: how much lower quality depends on your specific unit.

All of this is really only noticeable if:
You have aftermarket speakers.
You're an Audiophile
You crank your music up pretty loud.

So if you don't care or do those things, it's probably not gonna matter! And again, again: all of this depends on your specific unit.

If the above is all good and/or doesn't matter to you: Good buy!

Haven't had the chance to give it a lot of use yet. Been off work with a crook arm. To be honest haven't put a music cd in yet to test sound output (which I must do) but just listening to radio station music I only need the unit on level 1, maybe 2 which is more than loud enough, so hopefully this is a good sign. I am not a music nut, just like it on in the background, mainly bought this unit as it had the gps, tv and bluetooth included. Checked out feedback from buyers who had bought this unit and all were good so took the gamble. A lot of the big name units didn't come with gps unless you spent big money which I didn't want to do. Time will tell how good this unit is I guess.

If this all you want the unit for then you will enjoy it, It just wasn't good enough for me to keep in my Magna, but as i said it is now in my troopy where the sound quality of the unit is excepted for the fact it has blue tooth, GPS, TV, DVD etc in it and can also connect another monitor to watch when we are camping some where instead of having a TV that will do it all
