So now the younguns are getting older, looking at getting some screens for them to watch DVDs in the back seat of the 380.

Firstly, either way, I will need to install the second power socket in the centre console, but that should be easy to do when I get the part. Anyone know the part number (genuine) and price?

Question 1
Should I get two screens in the back for them (one each) or is one in the middle for them to share okay without neck craning etc?

Question 2
Am I best off just getting an independent system for the back (cheaper), or should I go the whole hog and get a new head unit with a video out to play movies to stand alone screen/screens on the back?

Question 3
What units to people recommend? I won't buy cheap Chinese ebay stuff. Have had a bad experience with Sony car sound and nothing but good experiences with pioneer. The avh x8550bt looks good and has the iphone 5 connectivity which I need. If I get that I'm looking about $1000 plus 150 for the iphone 5 connectivity, plus 50 for two aerpro harnesses, plus about $150 for a rear screen.

Any tips/ideas/recommendations?

I guess with a fixed installation connected to a new double din headunit is it can't be transferred into the TL when my wife uses that. Hmmmm.

Don't buy any cheap screens. Not even the ones at jbhifi. My mate is the Vic repairer for those units at jb and gets around 10 pairs a week. I'll ask him which brand is good as from memory he also repairs the ones they put in Audis
