View Full Version : Going CATless
First of all I am slowly preparing a track car, so the legality doesn't really concern me. Just wondering if there's any worthwhile gains to be had by exchanging the CAT for straight-thru? I'm aware the sensor just before has to go to.
A mate of mine claims upto a 30hp gain on his WRX. Obviously it's hard to find credibility in his story as he drives a WRX :P
Cheers!

Seems to be very little gain adding a high flow cat on a Magna so I doubt going cat-less would make a significant difference.

f/i gains are better but n where near 30hp, maybe 4-5 in a hot exhaust. cat less in a standard magna, 1-3hp atw. really not worth the smell or raspy sounds it results in.

Is this smell prevalent in the cabin or just from outside the car after driving?
