Hi guys,

I know this has been covered, but can someone tell me what causes these cars to idle poorly?

I have a KJII and the longer it's been running the worse the idle is.

Is it something that can be fixed?

just fixed a very low and rough idle in my tj last week, but I had to pull the throttle body off completely, take the idle speed control motor off (replace that O ring that's with it) a can of carby cleaner, and clean it, everything, all the little vacuum holes, everything. The inner most side of my butterfly was caked full of carbon and blocking 3 little vacuum holes. also while your doing this, disconnect your battery for an hour or more.

My idle isn't low though.
And it gets progressively worse the longer the car has been running.
I think at it's worst, it will even idle poorly in P or N (I will test and confirm this but I believe it to be true)
