I need help!! I have fitted everything needed for the climate control system in a tj 1, everything went well, all the servos are operating, outside temp sensor hooked up, light sensor hooked up but it's not activating the a/c compressor due to i cant work out where to hook up the wire to from the control pannel. I can't work out where the green/yellow wire from plug no. 36 I think it was on the cc control pannel goes. I know this is the wire that turns on the compressor which runs from the control pannel to the dual pressure switch and into the relays and ecu but what the f... Is a dual pressure switch and where is it?

Are you splicing into the manual A/C or have you pulled the dash and used the proper looms?

I had a KJ loom but it was cut behind the cluster area so I have keeped all wires relating to the climate system and discarded the rest, taped it up and spliced all but 1 (g/y) wires to the original loom and ran the KJ loom parallel to the manual loom. I just don't know what a double pressure switch is or where it is to wire in the compressor trigger.

Edit: yes I removed the dash to fit the verada fan box and the heater box with servos and replaced the fan speed controller to a climate control unit.

If I screen dump the circuit diagrams will you be able to understand them?

In a car without climate control, the wire is green/orange. In the CC version of the loom it's green/yellow. You want to splice the wire from pin36 of the 16pin climate control ecu into that green/orange wire.

SOURCE: I was stupid enough to do it that way on my TF.

I have the diagrams for the system, that's what I went off to wire up the rest of the wires. I can read the diagrams I have but what I don't know is what a dual pressure switch is or where it is and I can't locate the green/orange wire running to the switch as found on a manual system.

The first diagram is of a manual ac, I'm looking to tap into the green/orange (GO) wire with the green/yellow (GY) wire from the climate system as shown in the second diagram.

Woops, I was a bit slow posting that last 1 but we both have the same pics and the same thought. My question is where is that green/orange wire? If I can find that Im all sorted.

I'm in bed now about to sleep. That wire passes through B74 which Im pretty sure runs out to the engine bay. The pressure switch from memory is under the battery tray connected to a silver canister. You can use the configuration diagrams in the workshop manual which lists all the plugs and shows all their locations.

Failing that grab a multimeter and lead line and bell from the pressure switch to any unused plugs behind the dash, as you would have unpluged some of the redundant manual a/c crap to fit the climate stuff.

Looks like the 'dual pressure switch' is under the bonnet on top of the receiver cannister, which from memory is to the right of the radiator (if standing in front of and facing the car).

Follow the red wire from B16 plug to B15.
B16 is a six pin plug that connected to the a/c button on the manual controls.

Thanks lads, will have a sus tomorrow. Now just need to source some globes for the cc unit, not keen on $14 each from mitsi.
