i have a ts v6 magna i have bought a usb to obd cable and a obd 2 to obd 1 adapter i am looking for the software for this cable i believe it is mut protocol can anyone help me out as my car is annoying me as it has a miss in the motor and i have done all the usual replaced spark plugs leads injectors fuel filter and i get the usual from the mechanics we wont know till we look at it and it could cost you up to $500.00 so i thought they use a diagnostic system so why cant i if however any one could tell me why it has a miss and how to fix it i would be greately appreciated

Lots of problems on the TS engine won't show up on a diagnostics scan.

- dirty throttle body.
- non working ISC.
- loss of compression from burnt exhaust valve(s).
- air leaks.
- ignition coil, power transistor weak.

If it is a low rpm, low throttle miss, do a compression test first. Had that on my TS, was a burnt exhaust valve.

Mechanic is being honest when he says "won't know until we look at it".
