I'm looking to get a 2.5 inch cat back splitting into two 2.25 inch at the rear.
I got quoted $880 at a place that's local to where I live. Does that sound like a reasonable price?
Are there cheaper places (that are still obviously good quality) around Victoria?

What area are you looking at?
I've got a 'friendly exhaust bloke' in croydon, done all the exhausts on my old cars and families cars, all the track cars done there too....I'm not sure what he'd charge for a magna but i'm keen to find out for my TJ too...
Called 'Exhaust Fix' 14 Windsor Rd, CROYDON,

That price is good considering it splits at the rear.

I was looking in dandenong. Called "Dande Exhausts". They're pretty popular around my area. Most people I know get their exhausts done there.

I don't think it includes rear mufflers though. So i'd probably need to add another $250 to that quote.

I'm getting the centre resonator replaced on my TL wagon tomorrow with the standard middle section bolt-on bit for $210 as a comparison.
Your exhaust work involved a great deal of pipe bending and trial-and-error fitting, so the price isn't bad.
Looking forward to going back to dead quiet on my standard exhaust though. lol

The price would also depend on the quality of the components used. Big difference in price between your entry level mufflers and, say, Magnaflow gear.
Does the price definitely exclude rear mufflers and tips?

your 380 already has a 2.5" 'cat back' exhaust, although the bend going into the rear muffler isnt the best

Got a quote for a system that maintains the standard 2.5" behind the cat, but splits into two 2.25" at the rear. So quote for just a split (muffler and tips included) $600
Thoughts?

If it includes 2 mufflers and the split that is about what id expect to pay

custom work will always cost
my exhaust guy hates when i come in, because i always want tiny small things altered the way i want it done, which pushes his "easy" jobs further back. In turn he charges me for the time spent, so all is fair.
