Hey guys, for some reason when in 3rd my 380 makes this little 'charging up' whistle sound as it goes through from 3k to 6k. Almost kinda sounds like a turbo spooling up very quietly. Only figured out yesterday that its only third gear that does this. I dont know what it is, but it sounds freakin awesone, and a few people have asked me if the car is turbocharged because of it. Is this sound a bad thing? Or has my car been turbocharged through the power of my mind...

If it's a manual it's probably gear whine, mine does it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Id say it is your gearbox. My magna does similar but in second. Keep your transmission fluid serviced and it will hopefully be ok. I know my manual that is similar sounding is fine. So I dont mind
