I've done a few searches and looked through the TR workshop manual but can't find what I'm looking for. I know that 3rd gens have an ECU reset learning procedure, what I'm wondering is, is there a set procedure for a 91 TR 4cyl to set the idle correctly after installing a new battery?
My idle has always been too high so I want to see if there is a procedure to settle it a bit.
Thanks in advance

There is an air idle screw on the throttle body. Tweak it to get the right hot idle.
If your cold and hot idle are the same, it's possible the ISC has died. Cold should be 1,400 - 1,600 and hot should be about 700-800 RPM.

Bingo. Perfect idle now at hot on 850 and 1050 with a/c. Thanks Madmax
