My drivers side window squeaks and operates slowly.

Is there any special grease for this?
And where do I apply it?

Thanks

Lithium grease I hear is the stuff. As for where to spray it, I hear the "runners" are the place.... but, man I could be so wrong.

I'm hoping somebody will upload a pic.

There is a spray for this, not sure what its called.
Mines been giving me a bit of grief since I did a number on my doors, but strangely enough, extra care in reseating the door card fixed it (mostly)..
I'm gonna keep watching if someone knows more.....

Howdy.

There are two window track runners. One metal one as part of the regulator and another rubber one at the very front of the door. Lithium grease, will really assist in this.

Also, depending on your car, there are 2 regulator designs. The TJ1.5 onwards seem to have the newer one which was a bit better not for speed, but because the cables don't fray quite so badly, slowing the window down until it eventually snaps.

But lithium grease in the tracks should help, in addition to making sure the door trims are on correctly.

I was about to pose this very question. Need to do all four doors, was after the lubricant/grease used.
Any particular brand of Lithium grease?

Silicon spray lubricant on the rubbers where the glass slides along is also a great help. Vee

Take door card off, window up, wipe down old gunk on window rail and get it out of the bit that slides up and down as well (I'll call this the runner, why not), then spray rail liberally with white lithium grease (Available at your local hardware store, eg. Bunnings), window down and up a few times (By now it should be moving a bit quicker), clean up any more grime that appears in the runner or on the rail, and spray once more for good measure.
If it still squeaks or moves slowly then your issue doesn't lie with the rail.
