Got hit at the back last night. Just wondering how much is it to fix a rear bumper bar? It seems the metal bar is bent and a new plastic.

Depends on the color

If the reo is damaged they would replace that and if the plastic is too damaged they will replace that too, probably about a $400-$500 job.

Can you show us a picture of the damage?

I couldn't get a picture good enough to represent the damage. On the plastic, it got hit around the mdidle. It deformed, and loose a bit of paint. If I go underneath the car, I can see the steel bar bent. Colour is white.

At-fault party offered $300 or get it repaired at their mate's workshop. I don't think $300 can do a decent job, right?

Look around on the trading post/gumtree/ebay sites or mal for a good 2nd hand unit.

The skin takes it's shape from the REO bar, straighten that out and the skin will sit straight. If the plastic is not split, any scratches can be filled and painted over.
Done this myself.
