All,

Has anyone ever tried or seen a paint colour matching spray job on a standard grille (the louvred design): http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Mitsubishi-380-2006/SSE-AD-2209824/?Cr=5 just wondering what that might look like?

Thats a pretty good deal for a 380 by the way. Only 28000ks with cream and woodgrain. Just to jump off topic

i would say if the slats are very angled it would look sweet, but if theyre pretty much flat then chrome tape along the front edge along with the bottom grille would look better

That's exactly what I have done to my 2005 base model - chrome tape on the horizontal grille slats and chrome strips on the top edges of the lower grill slats.
But the linked 2006 LS already has chome horizontal grille slats, they came like that from the factory. So did just about every 380 taxi I see in Adelaide. But can I find one of these chrome slatted grilles at a wreckers? Been looking for four years now and still no joy! The linked LS also seems to have some chrome on the lower grille slats, but I've never seen this from the factory, maybe the owner has done the same as I have?

Anyway, I reckon the OP (Steve) is actually asking if anyone has painted the base model horizontal slats (which are usually black) in body colour.

Correct - would love to know if it's one of those things that ends up lookin' daggy; or cool?

I would absolutely LOVE that one - but of course the Stealer is asking a lot for what is still an older car? AND - I reckon it will be out of my price range anyway.

If you want a luxary spec 380 then thats as good a deal as youll get methinks. Almost sounds too good. Is 60000ks and $3000 less than I paid for my vrx 6 months ago...spewin
