i have a tj 01 vrx, i have just installed an amp, HU and sub, and was working fine, i finished work early yesterday, so i turned it up load (but not as loud as i have had it) and i killed my head unit and amp, i left it for the day, because i didn't want to work on it, but as i went and had a look at it today, i blew a fuse (in engine bay), changed it still no working, i have the constant power, but i can't get the acc power, i have checked every fuse that i can find, (in amp, in HU, engine bay, and the ones next to the accelerator pedal). i have noticed that the door switch (when the lights come on when door gets opened) don't make lights come on, the travel screen (the one with like fuel consumption and avg speed ect. don't work ether, but the climate control does work, dash lights and stuff do work. any ideas of what i can look at to get it working?

thank you..

Sounds to me like the accessory fuse either in the cabin (next to the accelerator, as you described), or in the engine bay.

Otherwise, if it isn't, it sounds like something far worse which I have no idea about.

I still say a blown fuse, thats the only reason why the other stuff will not work along with the headunit, id be looking at the interior light fuse in the kick panel fuse box.

You need to find out why it blew in the first place aswell, either gains too high, your drawing too much amperage (which would kill the fuse you got with the amp kit and have installed) a short etc.

If you would like it fixed you have Phatt Audio Concepts in Braeside, Street Sound And Vision in Keilor Part and Thomas town, I would trust any of these guys, they have looked after myself and many others very well in the past.

thanks for your reply's, i have looked at all fuses again (engine bay and kick panel) and all of them are full fuses. i hope i didn't do anything worse, oh and i just tried to turn on my interior light but it don't work ether. im sure it is only a fuse/relay, but i just have no idea what one or where it could be.

Look on the fuse box cover in the kick panel it will tell you which fuse it is, it may not look fully blown but it can still be blown, check it with a multimeter if you cant, just replace it and see what happens.

ok i change the audio fuse, still nothing, changed a few other random ones as well, nothing, but i have found out that my central locking does not work, UNLESS the car is on acc, didn't try it turned fully on, can't lock or unlock all doors if car is off, and can not use the buttons for doors or boot.

Id say it will be one of the two fuses inside thee yellow surround which is located in the engine bay fuse box

You don't pull it off, you just pull the surround up and the fuses will no longer be making contact with anything.
The hardest part is actually removing the fuse but can be done easily.
