During my stereo install i started the car without the passenger seat unplugged & removed from car.

Its all back together, but now i have a light on the dash picture of a person with a seatbelt, with a red circle above it.

Im sure i read somewhere here someone else had the same issue, just wondering if it will go off by itself after awhile, or am i going to have to take it to mitsubishi to clear the code? My generic maxiscan doesnt pick up on the code

Never, ever do that! Ooops, too late!
As above, upsets the SRS system, dealer help required.

Yep, always disconnect the battery first.

if anyone is silly enough like me to prompt an airbag code, for future reference it cost me $20 to get it cleared.

very reasonable considering ford wouldve charged 5 times that amount just to plug the scan tool in.
