Hi All,

Was wondering if I can get some advice and help on troubleshooting the culprit. My car shakes noticably on the front left side when on load getting rougher and rough from 70km/h onwards.

The car has been through a complete major service including timing belt, ignition system, etc etc as i thought it was ignition related. Problem still there..

I've also:
- tranny flushed + tranny in good condition
- wheel balance & alignment
- suspension is fine
- tyres are fine
- checked all bushes etc
- checked wheel bearings

Steers slightly to the left despite perfect alignment and balance.. car hasn't been in an accident.

Now maybe i'm in denial but could this be a driveshaft problem? How can I check for this? And if it is, where in Brissy can I get the correct one with the correct splines for a Ralliart/VRX

Advice appreciated!

Mine was doing this for a bit to - between wheel alignments. Latest wheel alignment done and it doesn't shudder under power now... but, I'd be checking other areas well, don't use my experience alone to diagnose.

Thanks for that.. every bit helps.

When you had yours aligned was it just the toe the shop aligned? I got mine done recently to 0 toe.. didnt bother with camber adjustment as i didnt think ours was adjustable from factory?

Is that your xray in your avatar? how'd you get that if it is?

I have coilovers, so I have camber adjustment and I believe this was the adjustment they made. The guy at the shop says my caster is out but not enough to worry about. Maybe this camber misalignment exacerbates the effects of caster misalignment? I'm not an expert. But, my vibration went away after I started going to a different suspension shop.

The avatar is my spine - motorbike + truck = crushed L3. Its actually a pretty good back still.... only hurts when I fall off trampolines.

Yeah, it usually gets that response. BUT, it wasn't the bikes fault I crashed - it was MY fault. Just too fast for the situation, I "should have" known better.
