Hello all,

Posting for a friend who has an issue with his ecu. He has to reset the ecu each time he starts the car. We tried the ecu reset procedure tonight. Idled for 10-15 min etc. The car ran well. Stopped for fuel and had to do the ecu reset again ie, enter sedan and 3.5 etc. He said he went to change the interior light globe and there was a "zap" and he lost the central locking also.
The Magna is a 4sp auto tippy.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? He is on a limited wage and just wants to check before he has to shell out the bucks for it to be diagnosed.

EDIT Cleaned all battery terminals and cleaned all the earths. Checked fuses, hopefully the correct ones.

Replace the blown fuse in the yellow rectangle in the fuse compartment in the engine bay.

i cant get that lil bastard out, what am i missing here to get the yellow surround out of the way to release the fuse ?

sorted it out, what a pain in the but, why did they do that only only 2 x fuses ?????
