Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there is any way to get the window back into place after it has stopped working in the fully lowered position (left rear passenger window 1997 Verada Xi). Have got the door cover off but can't see anything that will help temporarily solve this, short of a car electrics expert. The window is well set in place and unable to move it. Bit tricky to drive in this current wet weather spell. Looks like it is the device (motor?) driving the window that's failed but will need it looked at by an expert. Was just hoping to shift the thing into place before getting it fixed.

Any thoughts as usual much appreciated.

Is your cable frayed and jamming up? If it isnt... maybe the motors brushes are worn?
In this situation, try knocking the motor with the handle of a screwdriver or something with a bit of weight. Not smashing it... just give it some good knocks and keep trying to the switch.

Thanks Shezza. Can't see any problems with the cable so suspect I'll have to work on the motor as you suggest.

Im not really familiar with these as Ive never had one go on me... but they tend to have the same basic principles. Also not a bad idea to make sure its getting power coming in to it.
