Hi,

Am in the process of changing that silly speed alarm on a TF 1998 Magna Solara to the centre display clock instead.

I've installed the new centre display, and also a dashboard surround that has the correct clock set buttons. I was hoping, that the wiring would be the same, and the clock set buttons would work. They don't, hence the reason for this post. The warning lights all work correctly, the clock also works perfectly, just I can't set the time (unless I disconnect and reconnect the battery at 1am which is the time the clock resets to after you remove power).

Does anyone know the pinouts on the module that are wired to the clock set buttons, or could I swap that part of the wiring loom over from a donor car?

The other two parts I bought separately online (dash surround and clock display).

I can't remember what the colours were, but they just earth out to control it, so try earthing out the remaining wires one at a time to see what happens. Through trial and error you will work it out

There will be 3 extra wires going to the plug to the surround from the model with the clock. You need to add them into your harness. They just go from the switch to the clock itself. So get them from your doner car.

You can cut them out of the doner car plug and insert the pins in the same position into your two plugs and it should all be sweet.

Just go to a wrecker, find a KF Verada, cut the two plugs out with as much wiring as you can get, and then take the pins out that are not there in your harness
