Hi guys just need a hand quickly, I found this relay upon searching through the dash pieces of mine that I still have to put back in.

Now the bracket looks like the ABS relay holder bracket, however im not fitting ABS so that can get stuffed, im just not sure if this relay is for ABS or whether it belongs somewhere else?

Thanks
Luke

Being an XI verada, my guess would be thats the ETACS unit.

the way that it is mounted and the fact that it doesnt have mitsubishi written on it says that it is a universal 5 pin relay (switching or changeover) that was installed after the fact

It is aftermarket and certainly nothing to do with ETACS

I think peaandham had two questions. Yes that relay looks very much like aftermarket and has NO and NC pins. The box under the parcel shelf is most likely the ETACS pre BEM. 2nd gens had them as well. It stands for Electronic Time and Alarm Control System which basically controls the alarm, interior lights dimming, delay off for windows etc.

As above. My reponse was relating to the box under the parcel shelf...

Ok thanks for the responses guys, that bracket is the abs bracket, the relay must be the one for the aftermarket alarm I just removed, and now I will fit that etacs unit.

Guys the box under the parcel shelf is not ETACS, it is the receiver ECU for the remote locking. The ETACS ECU is actually plugged into the back of the interior fuse (Junction) box.

The relay is not a factory one and therefore I would be looking at what extra features were installed. There could be several spade female pins or a single plug (hopefully) designed for that relay.

Your right, the 2nd gens had it like that as well.
